Attention pinball fanatics! Do you have the fire to become the Ghost Rider pinball wizard?

Beginning today, players have the opportunity to compete for prizes on the newly-released Ghost Rider table for “Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue” on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network.

To qualify, competitors must complete a full game on the Ghost Rider table, available on Xbox LIVE Arcade or PlayStation Network, between January 20-27.

The top three scores from each platform will be awarded a Ghost Rider Vigilante tee-shirt, courtesy of We Love Fine, in addition to the next table release from Zen Studios. A complete list of winners will also be posted on the Zen Studios forums, and winners will also receive notice via-Gamertag. Keep an eye out for a message if you wish to redeem your prize.

Gazillion Entertainment announces it has licensed Epic Games’ award-winning Unreal Engine 3 (UE3) to power its highly anticipated, free-to-play “Marvel Heroes” massively multiplayer online (MMO) game for PC. Under the licensing agreement, Gazillion, through its Secret Identity Studios, is using the cutting-edge Unreal Engine toolset to develop a premier entertainment experience that allows players to take on the roles of revered characters such as Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-Man as they play through events of the Marvel Universe.

“We love Unreal Engine 3’s streaming system. It’s made our entire technical approach possible and is easy to work with,” said Jeff Lind, studio director of Gazillion’s Secret Identity Studios. “We also love the flexibility we get from the actor components, which have empowered us to make all kinds of customizations without sacrificing the built-in features of the engine.”

Secret Identity Studios Art Director Josh Book added, “Our artists love the Unreal Content Browser, the visual art pipeline, and how functional UE3 is with different 3D packages. We had assets in the game within hours of starting work with the engine. In addition, Unreal Lightmass is a very advanced global illumination tool that has helped push the look of our game further than we thought it could go.”

Marvel: Avengers Alliance

The Avengers are taking to Facebook to enlist your help in preventing a mysterious cataclysmic event!

“Marvel: Avengers Alliance,” the first Facebook strategy game from Marvel, sees the Avengers fight alongside other heroes such as Wolverine, Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four. Along theway, you’ll have to face off against classic villains Doctor Doom, Magneto, Loki, the Green Goblin and more in order to save the day!

Developers of “HeroClix Online” have released all-new content for the online game, adding a half dozen new figures from Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk Fast Forces collection to the online experience.

The Incredible Hulk Fast Forces also joins the lineup of virtual figures that are now available in physical HeroClix products. Codes for virtual Incredible Hulk Fast Forces figures can be found in the “Marvel HeroClix: The Incredible Hulk Fast Forces Pack” available at participatingretailers.

The new figures include Hulk, Hulkbuster Wrangler, She-Hulk, Abomination, General Thunderbolt Ross and the Leader, and they can be used alongside current sets Hammer of Thor and Infinity Challenge.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” video game concept art

An all-new Spider-Man is poised to bring the action back to New York City as Activision and Marvel announce “The Amazing Spider-Man” video game, planned to launch summer 2012 tied to Sony Picture Entertainment’s upcoming feature film of the same name. Created as an epilogue story occurring entirely after the events of the movie, the game features the return of free-roaming web-slinging all over the city and evolutionary improvements to navigation and combat, as the newly anointed Spider-Man is plunged into an all-new storyline charged with protecting Manhattan from a variety of criminals.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” is in development at veteran game studio Beenox, and features an original narrative crafted by Hollywood writer Seamus Kevin Fahey (episodes of “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena” and the re-imagined “Battlestar Galactica”) that continues young Peter Parker’s adventures following the events of the new film. Using the game’s new Web Rush mechanic allows players to pull off a vast array of moves never before possible. With a story that takes players through many areas all over–and under–Manhattan, fans will feel what it’s truly like to be a super hero, as they experience the cinematic adrenaline rush of web-swinging through the city and fighting crime using Spider-Man’s spectacular acrobatic moves and attacks.
