Vintage Comics

Vintage comics are usually best described as books from the following eras: -

The Golden age of comic books was an iconic era lasting from the 1930’s through to the late 1940’s, introducing the world to the first superheroe comic books as we know them today. During this time span comic books were integrated into the world and they became excepted as a mainstream art form in its own right.

The Silver Age of Comic Books advanced the artistict and commercial success in mainstream comic books, especially the superhero genre. Spanning the 1950’s through to the early 1970’s it saw the rise of the talented creators such as Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Next came the bronze age, from the 1970’s to what is claimed the mid 1980’s. Developing the comic book medium and its characters even further and introducing more full colour pages.
